MAXON CINEMA 4D Wins MacUser 'Best 3D Software 2007'
MAXON CINEMA 4D has become the only app ever to win MacUser Best 3D Software four times!
The remarkable fourth win came at the MacUser Awards 2007, held in London on October 25, 2007, and confirmed MAXON CINEMA 4D as the UK's most awarded 3D app on the Mac.
The MacUser Awards reflect the very best products for Mac users, the very cream of the industry's output over the last 12 months. These awards cover the market from end to end and provide MacUser's readers with a list of products they should be coveting.
"We're really proud that CINEMA 4D has been honored with a fourth MacUser Best 3D Software award," said Liam Stacy, Managing Director at MAXON UK. "This year's award is extra special because this was the first year that the award has been voted for, and thousands of readers took part. We'd like to thank everyone who voted for CINEMA 4D."
The award is regarded as one of the most important in the industry. In handing over the trophy - lovingly known as a Maxine - MacUser claimed that CINEMA 4D Release 10 is the best version yet of the multi award-winning app.
The UK's best-selling Mac magazine declared: "Release 10 is a milestone in CINEMA 4D history." Considering that previous versions of CINEMA 4D have already notched up three MacUser awards, this was high praise for the landmark release.
The magazine also applauded MAXON's development team for "making CINEMA 4D into a much slicker application."
The win adds a fourth Maxine trophy to the CINEMA 4D awards cabinet. It's filling up fast.
CINEMA 4D's other major Mac wins in the UK include being twice the winner of Macworld magazine's prestigious Best 3D Software of the Year award. It won in 2006 and 2002, and combined with the four Maxines, makes CINEMA 4D the UK's most awarded 3D app on the Mac.
At the heart of CINEMA 4D's popular appeal is undoubtedly the renowned high-end power and ease of use. But the award also recognizes MAXON's staunch support for the Macintosh platform. For example, just days after the first iMacs with Intel Core Duo processors began shipping, CINEMA 4D was the first professional graphics application available in a universal binary version that runs natively on the new Intel-based Macintosh Computers.
