CINEMA 4D + Nemetschek VectorWorks
Winning approval for your designs is not just about having a great design on the drawing board. It is also about pulling out all the stops to get your client excited about your vision. And what better way to get your client excited about your vision than to create a stunning visualization of what it will look. That is where the CINEMA 4D VectorWorks eXchange plugin comes in.
The VectorWorks plugin lets you create stunning pictures and movies of your VectorWorks designs that look so real your client will not help but see your vision. And not only does the eXchange plugin deliver images and animations of your VectorWorks designs in superior quality, it shares VectorWorks' strengths of being easy to use and representing the best value for the money.
The next generation of the eXchange plugin gives you even more possibilities and control for faster and more flexible visualizations than ever before.
A Smart Way to Link
The eXchange plugin set includes plugins that enable you to transfer your designs quickly from VectorWorks to CINEMA 4D. But the smart
thing about these plugins is that, even after you have loaded your VectorWorks design into CINEMA 4D
and added realistic lighting, materials and objects (e.g. trees and cars), you can still
go back to VectorWorks and make changes to the design without losing the work you have done in CINEMA 4D.
Suppose, for example, that you are working on the building design in the illustration above. After designing the building in VectorWorks, you load the building into CINEMA 4D using the VectorWorks plugins. You then add realistic materials and extra objects such as trees in CINEMA 4D. Then, just when you are almost done, your client calls you. A window must be added to the design ...
This means you have to go back to VectorWorks to add the window. And here is where the plugins get smart. The CINEMA 4D project is updated to incorporate the new window. The materials and trees are still there. You don't have to redo any of them. That means you have been able to make a late change quickly and you will still be able to meet your deadline and the client's nees will be met.
Then it is only a matter finishing off the project. Realistic lighting is added as well as animation such as fly-throughs. Hit the Render button for your final pictures and movies.
New Features of the 2nd Generation eXchange Plugin
Data exchange now even supports VectorWorks symbols and seperates objects within classes. This new possibility gives
a perfect representation of your CAD project inside CINEMA 4D. Symbols can be
imported as CINEMA 4D instances, thus giving you loads of options such as the ability to change
parameters on or reassign parameters to all objects. This makes it easy to make a change to
a reference symbol within CINEMA 4D and have those changes automatically applied to the instances of that symbol.
Perfect for adding detail to VectorWorks symbols such as windows.
Furthermore, the Material eXchange plugin has also become part of the Special Edition package. Using this handy tool, you can replace the standard VectorWorks materials with sophisticated CINEMA 4D materials in seconds via a reference file. CINEMA 4D materials support many advanced parameters such as diffusion, bump and illumination which makes the leap towards photorealistic renders so much easier.
Share Your Visions
CINEMA 4D’s proven render engine delivers photo-realistic movies and pictures up to billboard resolution.
Powerful animation tools enable you to make anything happen in full broadcast quality from
people going about their usual business to amazing effects such as buildings that rise
from out of the blueprints. It is the power to share your visions and, just as importantly, CINEMA 4D is easy to use.
Save Time With Pre-Built Materials
You will be pleased to know that the CINEMA 4D VectorWorks Special Edition includes dozens of high-quality
materials such as bricks, metals and fabrics. The pictures below were created in CINEMA 4D.
Naturally, you can also create your own materials for any type of surface.
