Cinema 4D 2025.2 makes working with splines even more powerful and intuitive. The popular Spline Modifier Capsules by Rocket Lasso are now available for all users directly in Cinema 4D’s UI, expanding the Deformer palette with tools designed specifically for splines.

Additionally, the recently introduced GPU Particle System received a major upgrade, allowing for more sophisticated effects and faster results. Simulation advancements enable artists to tweak Particle setups more easily and focus on design instead of tools: Emitter shapes and velocity can now be adjusted directly in the Viewport through interactive handles, which makes art directing particle simulations more intuitive. Emission density can now be controlled using Maxon Noises, Fields, and Vertex Maps. Many Particle Modifiers have received new Custom Property output options to store data such as neighbor count or chasing/fleeing state and managing Particle properties is now easier than ever.

Improvements to the Look at Camera tag greatly simplify placing 2.5D elements like labels, tiles, or annotations in the 3D scene, as objects holding the tag can now be aligned with more control and be forced to align with the camera plane. This allows for better visual integration through shadows, reflections, motion blur, and other 3D effects and increases production efficiency by avoiding compositing work.
