Home Decor Gone Wild The new features in Cinema 4D Release 20 were used by fam Studio to give household articles a life of their own in their creation, 'Influencers'.

Berlin-based f°am Studio, a laboratory for visual trends and commercial offshoot of the award-winning artist collective Zeitguised, is known for their highly detailed and avantgarde concepts. Far before the software’s release, we asked the team at f°am Studio to put the features of the new Cinema 4D version (R20) through their paces. The result of this cooperation is ‘Influencers’, a short film in which everyday household items suddenly come to life and wreak havoc all around them: cups start dancing on the table, candles bend in a choreographed rhythm and the living room furniture starts floating around the room. The audio avant-gardists Antfood created the soundtrack that accompanies the film to its fulminant showdown of color, shapes and movement.

During the production of ‘Influencers’, the team at f°am Studio benefitted from Cinema 4D’s design-oriented approach and the application’s easily accessible creative tools: the designers were able to quickly and easily visualize complex ideas and experiment with different shapes and physical properties of various objects.

The lively objects create a fascinating world in which the viewer can discover something new each time they watch!

This was f°am Studio’s first project using Cinema 4D Release 20 and the software easily won them over: “The newly implemented MoGraph Fields and Volume Mesher make Cinema 4D R20 a powerful and well-rounded bundle to express creativity at the highest level possible.”
