Maxon 2020 Events Happening Live Online!

If you know me even a little (have met me at an industry event or seen me interviewed) you know interacting with the community is the most favorite part of my job. I love hanging with artists, talking about the craft and pondering about the future of the industry. Well, it doesn’t look like that is going to be happening for a while … at least not in person - all physical shows have been cancelled for 2020. And if you really know me, you know I’m not going to let that stop me from bringing you these great events virtually.

For our community members who haven’t been able to attend special events, you know we are already prepared. We’ve always provided a window to our presentations (and some of the fun) at the bigger shows through our C4DLive hosted streaming online. However, Maxon is no longer just about Cinema 4D. So we are excited to announce:

Maxon's 3D and Motion Design Show

Introducing Maxon’s 3D & Motion Design Show (formerly C4DLive) featuring the world’s top motion graphics and VFX artists showcasing 3D techniques and real-world production workflows using Cinema 4D, Redshift and the Red Giant suite of products.

How To Watch It

Presentations for each free event will be streamed live and are available online shortly after airing on 3DMotionShow.com as well as the Maxon YouTube channel. Viewers will be able to interact and send in questions via chat for the live Q&A sessions with artists.

Save the Date: June 18th

We’ll be kicking off our series of virtual events on June 18th, at 8:00 a.m. (PDT) and our first show will feature:

  • Anthony Abbott, Senior Creative of San Francisco-based motion design studio Swordfish, will discuss the creation of the company’s short film, Talos
  • Alan Towndrow, Rigger and Animator for Bomper Studio, a leading creative production studio in Wales, will share the creation of their hilarious animated short, Coffee Run.
  • Ryan Talbot, a Dallas-based freelance 3D animation and VFX artist for broadcast, commercials, mixed reality and more will be sharing an exciting new personal project.

Want More? You Got It!

The 3D and Motion Design Show will continue through the rest of the year with incredible guest artists and presentations from the C4D, Redshift and Red Giant teams. Here’s the schedule of events for the rest of 2020:

  • June 18
  • July 21-23 (Siggraph)
  • August 12
  • August 26
  • September 11-14 (IBC)
  • Oct 26-28 (AdobeMax/NAB NY/HOW)

All events will be streamed live on 3DMotionShow.com (formerly C4DLive.com). Hope to see you there!
