Maxon One July Release Includes a Variety of Beneficial Feature Updates Up your simulations and motion graphics capabilities with updated dynamics features in Cinema 4D, enhancements to Maxon Studio, and deeper integration between Redshift and C4D.

Bad Homburg, Germany - July 17, 2024 – Maxon, maker of powerful, approachable software solutions for content creators working in 2D and 3D design, motion graphics, visual effects, today announced new updates to Maxon One.

Maxon’s latest release enriches several products in the Maxon One suite of industry-leading tools for creating motion graphics, visual effects, and product imagery. Subscribers to Maxon One gain access to all these feature updates instantly.

This release makes it faster and easier to create realistic simulations of interactions between 3D objects. With Cinema 4D’s Unified Simulation, users can create interactions between rigid and soft objects, cloth, rope, pyro effects, and particles. Also, support for spring connections and motors have been added to rigid body simulations, along with easier options for creating connectors between objects.

Cinema 4D’s integrated particle system was introduced just a few months ago and now has improved integration with the MoGraph toolset, so emitters and forces can be duplicated easily via the Cloner. Users also gain more control over particle attraction around the surface of objects, as well as collision and color of particles emitted from other particles. Using particles in a production pipeline is now supported thanks to improved Alembic import.

Cinema 4D’s Scene Nodes continue to mature, providing more options to create procedural geometry. Split and Disconnect nodes streamline the creation of effects on different portions of a mesh, while the Points Modifier node greatly simplifies the process to create custom deformers and remap data attached to points. The Outline Spline Node enables procedural spline outlines, allowing for stacked and nested shapes from a single input.

Motion graphics artists will particularly enjoy Redshift’s new Distance Shader, which allows for dynamic shading effects when objects are near each other. Redshift native cameras are now supported in Cinema 4D’s Crane, Morph, and Motion Cameras, allowing artists to easily create dynamic and realistic camera movement, including adjustments to depth-of-field and other Redshift camera effects.

Also, Maxon continues to partner closely with Adobe, and Substance materials within Redshift for Cinema 4D now include improved options for adjusting the size, rotation, and colorspace of materials.

Maxon Studio, a new After Effects template engine, was released in June and harnesses the power of over 130 Red Giant tools creatives can use to create standout videos fast. In response to user feedback, this release enhances Maxon Studio’s usability with the option to more easily select brand colors using Hex Color codes.

Studio Capsules are not prefab templates. Easily customizable, these After Effects templates can be easily browsed, selected, and fine-tuned via a user-friendly editing interface. More than 250 Capsules were included in the initial release and many more will be added over time, so anyone working on videos can choose from an entire Capsules gallery of backgrounds, motion graphics, effects, and other elements available at the click of a button.
