We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Development Manager to lead the Red Giant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of software developers and QA Specialists. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality delivery of products on the Red Giant roadmap, meeting the needs of our diverse user base.

What you will do:

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of software developers and QA professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Product Roadmap Execution: Work closely with product management and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features and enhancements on the Red Giant product roadmap
• Product Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust QA processes and procedures to ensure the reliability, performance, and usability of Red Giant products
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with problem-solving, code reviews, and architectural decisions
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams within Maxon, including design, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment and synergy across all aspects of product development and delivery
• Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback and coaching to team members to support their professional growth and development

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in software development, with a focus on leading teams and delivering high-quality products
• Strong technical skills in software development methodologies, programming languages (e.g., C++, Python), and development tools (e.g., Git, JIRA)
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience in the VFX, motion graphics, or multimedia software industry is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and other industry-standard applications is a plus
• Very good communications and English language skills
