Redshift is a powerful 3D rendering software that helps visualize your 3D designs, models, animations, and scenes.
By simulating realistic lighting, textures, and effects, Redshift transforms 3D design into high-quality animations or images. Its GPU-accelerated engine lets you achieve photorealistic details, fast feedback, and reduced rendering times.
Redshift 2025.2 continues to improve Toon rendering: Building upon the recently added controls to adjust Contour lines and Tonemap patterns, we’re adding support for Backface contours, which can be used to create retro oscilloscope-type visuals, blueprint styles, and other technical renders where the hidden lines have a different color or opacity. Substance materials now maintain accurate scale, even as the mesh they are assigned to changes size and shape. This aids the believability of architectural visualization and product visualization scenes and is useful in scene setups where many materials need to align in scale - even if the same material is applied to many different meshes with varying dimensions. A new Material Switch node allows for easy variation of materials across Cinema 4D’s MoGraph clones and collections of objects in any DCC, enabling more realistic renders. Improved cross-platform AI-based OIDN denoising delivers faster render times and better quality. Additionally, Houdini users can now render USD files directly in the Redshift command line, while Redshift for Maya now supports the native Standard Surface shader for easy project conversion.
