Read Me! Final Cut Pro 10.5.2 Compatibility Notice If you use either Magic Bullet Colorista or Looks, we recommend you wait to install that update.
UPDATE – March 10th, 2021: The Magic Bullet Suite 14.0.4 update has been released, which resolves the issues outlined below and makes Magic Bullet Suite 14 fully compatible with the latest versions of Final Cut Pro and Motion.
IMPORTANT NOTICE! Apple just released Final Cut Pro 10.5.2 and Motion 5.5.1 (March 5, 2021), and while we know you want to jump into those updates, if you are a customer using either Magic Bullet Colorista or Looks, we are advising you not to update at this time.
What Happened?
Unfortunately, the Final Cut Pro 10.5.2 and Motion 5.5.1 update can cause a crash when using the latest version of Magic Bullet Looks and Colorista. We appologize for any trouble this may cause you, and understand how important your Red Giant tools are to your workflow.
We are working to release an update early next week, and will notify users as soon as it’s live. Until then, we would recommend refraining from updating to the latest versions of Final Cut Pro and Motion.
As always, if you have any questions, our support team is here for you.
