Chaos Releases V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D, Update 1 Reimagine your material workflow with support for Cinema 4D’s node-based material editing system.

Chaos just released V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D, update 1, which brings in one of the community’s most requested features - support for Cinema 4D’s node-based material editing system. V-Ray users can now view and manage their entire shading network within Cinema 4D, using the Material Node Editor throughout the entire creation process – from first ideas to finishing touches.

Like all other V-Ray integrations, V-Ray 5 for Cinema 4D, update 1 is also geared to help artists do more in one place, including relight and composite from a single render. This includes creating pixel-perfect masks right in the V-Ray Frame Buffer, rendering multiple Dome Lights at the same time, mixing light sources and relighting scenes even after the render has finished.

Creating true-to-life translucent materials is now easier than ever with the volumetric subsurface scattering, built inside the V-Ray Material. Progressive caustics allow users to achieve real-world reflections and refractions extra fast, with less set up required.

Plus, this update includes the return of V-Ray Fur, for realistic hair, grass, fabrics, and more; and V-Ray Clipper so you can create quick cutaways and section renders.
