About HDR Light Studio
HDR Light Studio adds lighting tools and lighting content to Cinema 4D.
HDR Light Studio is for professional 3D artists wanting a fast, efficient, precise, highly controllable and creative approach to lighting CG shots.
HDR Light Studio is a dedicated lighting application that is used tethered, via a plug-in, to Cinema 4D and your renderer - Physical, Redshift, Octane, Corona, V-Ray and Arnold.
HDR Light Studio provides a dedicated, easy to use lighting centric user interface. Simply drag and drop lights onto the interactive render where you want the effect - to either reflect, illuminate or rim light that location on the 3D model. We call this patented approach 'LightPaint'. Just click/drag on the render to reposition the light. See the lighting update beneath your cursor as you move the light. Working directly on the interactive render to position lights with instant visual feedback lets you quickly explore and develop the lighting look.
A huge choice of Preset lighting content is included with HDR Light Studio - including HDR light images and highly controllable procedural lighting effects.
The result of a lighting session in HDR Light Studio is a Cinema 4D scene that's ready to render - with lighting created for your renderer that's mapped with a perfect custom HDRI map and HDR area light textures.
HDR Light Studio is an amazing solution for lighting product, packaging, jewellery and automotive imagery. Shiny objects are the hardest to light and it's all about the reflections. Metals, plastics, glass etc, benefit most from the HDR reflections and lighting provided by HDR Light Studio.
HDR Light Studio ships with plug-in connections for all leading 3D software, not just Cinema 4D. So once you know how to use it, you can light your shots everywhere using HDR Light Studio and also move lighting between 3D software and renderers.
