NEWBURY PARK, Calif.- March 3, 2016 - Maxon, the industry-leading developer of professional modeling, painting, animation and rendering solutions, will be exhibiting its award winning 3D content creation solution - Cinema 4D - at the 2016 Game Developers Conference (GDC), the world's largest and longest-running professionals-only game industry event taking place March 16 -18, 2016 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco.
Maxon 3D software solutions are revered by game developers and artists worldwide for spectacular image quality, creative flexibility and an intuitive, easy-to-use interface for generating complex assets for game cinematics, game trailers and more.
Visitors to the Maxon GDC booth (#533, South Hall) will see how to easily incorporate 3D models, animation, custom textures and environments into their game development pipeline. Demos will also offer fresh insight while highlighting the seamless connectivity between Cinema 4D and BodyPaint 3D with many of today's leading game development platforms including Unity 3D, Unreal Engine and leading third-party software applications including Substance Designer, Photoshop, and others.
Maxon is also excited to showcase its recently launched CV-VR Cam, a new Cinema 4D plug-in for rendering virtual reality (VR) content. The plug-in allows CG artists to generate pre-rendered or interactive VR video content for YouTube or Facebook. Maxon Vice President of Operations, Rick Barrett, creator of the CV-VR Cam plug-in and author of the companion tutorial series available on the company's Cineversity training and education website, will be on hand to provide attendees practical VR game developer tips.
M dot Strange, indie game developer and internationally award-winning filmmaker, will also be at the Maxon booth showing content creator-friendly demos and breaking down the basic techniques for incorporating Cinema 3D with Unity to address the complexities of 3D game development, including storyboarding, character animation, set building, lighting, rendering, and more.
Strange has recently created comprehensive online game development courses at The Strange School, many geared to teaching artists how to create entire 3D third person games without writing code. At GDC, he will show how he used Cinema 4D and Unity to create "Smashy Town", a game that was played on the streets of San Jose for the Subzero Festival and also showcase his just released course, "Awesome AI Made Easy".
