Toolfarm Top 10' Winners Announced

We're thrilled to announce our Maxon, Redshift and Red Giant family of software products are top winners in the 2019 "Toolfarm Top 10."

Toolfarm is the leading third-party reseller for professional visual effects, motion graphics, and video and audio plugins. Now in its tenth year, the "Toolfarm Top 10" contest recognizes the most widely used industry production tools as voted on by Toolfarm customers and software users at large.

"Because the Toolfarm Top 10 are voted on by the people who potentially use the tools, the results of the awards can be looked at as a sort of compass, pointing toward trends within the industry," outlines Michele Terpstra, Toolfarm, Director of Digital Content. "By examining the results from year-to-year, we can see which tools and workflows are considered industry-standard and will influence the way professionals work. We congratulate the Maxon, Redshift and Red Giant family whose winning toolsets are constantly being updated with new features and have large user-bases."

Contest Winners
At the end of 2019, Toolfarm ran a six-week poll on its website and social channels, asking participants to vote on their favorite software tools in arranged categories. Here's how our tools stacked up:

Maxon
In the "Favorite 3D Modeling, Painting, or Sculpting Tool" category, Cinema 4D took a first place, "...winning by a landslide this year, notably, taking over 50 percent of the votes in this category."

Redshift
In the "Favorite 3D Renderer" category, Redshift took the number one spot. "Redshift was the darling of this year's 2019 Toolfarm Top 10, in effect, taking a large chunk of the vote."

Red Giant
In the "Favorite Particle or Fluid Generating VFX Tool" category, Trapcode Particular won first place. "Red Giant is a customer favorite, and we knew it would do well this year."
