Company Initiatives

Maxon is dedicated to initiatives like sustainability and promoting a healthy lifestyle among its employees.

At Maxon, we put an emphasis on facilities for our teams in LEED certified buildings. LEED is a holistic system that looks at the best possible overall image of a building. LEED buildings have been shown to have better indoor air quality than other offices. In addition, LEED buildings specialize in using less water and electricity, which has a positive impact on the carbon footprint.

In the test results of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), Maxon's headquarters in Bad Homburg achieved gold status. Particularly noteworthy here are the low-pollutant and emission-free building materials, the low costs in the life cycle, the high flexibility and feasibility of the office space, the optimal daylight availability in the entire building and the special amenity qualities of the building's outdoor areas, which offer a stress-relieving environment for employees to enjoy.

Maxon’s headquarters in Bad Homburg also includes a Green Roof. The green roof absorbs rainwater, provides additional insulation, provides a habitat for wildlife and helps to lower urban air temperatures.

Ethical and sustainable business processes are good for people, the planet and the company. That's why we at Maxon have also set ourselves the goal of being able to carry out 100% paperless for all of our business processes, as it both protects the environment and increases our efficiency and flexibility.

We recently launched the Step Challenge to inspire our employees to enjoy walking and to promote increased walking activity through a smart approach of competition and gamification. Our employees enjoy the opportunity to walk or jog in beautiful surroundings near their workplace.

At Maxon, we regularly engage our employees in activities designed to raise climate neutrality awareness. That's why Maxon is participating in Treedom to help make the world a greener place. With Treedom it is possible to plant trees worldwide and give them as a gift that has a social and environmental benefit. The trees can be tracked with GPS data and geolocation, providing transparent insight into the project's activities. In total, the Maxon forest has hundreds of trees in Africa, South America and Asia. Over 184 Maxon employees have already taken out a tree sponsorship.

Maxon also funds employees who choose to use public transportation. At our headquarters in Bad Homburg, we provide e-parking spaces and charging stations for sustainable e-vehicles. The HQ also offers bicycle parking for 245 bikes in total.
